Client: Private trading company in Fuzhou China.

Commodity: 1*20GP of Spanish Olive Oil

Documents required for olive oil import declaration:

Customs: Automatic Import License, foreign invoice, packing list, contract.

Commercial Inspection: Certificate of origin, sanitary certificate, nutritional composition test report (at least five categories include energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate, sodium), 15 other mandatory test reports regarding product sanitary and indicators.

Key Point:

1.Extra virgin olive oil is not allowed to add any additives.

2.The automatic Import License needs to be issued before the product arrives at the destination port. Product related information and test reports need to be prepared in advance by the foreign producers. Vanhang Supply Chain will determine and identify whether the olive oil is extra virgin olive, refined olive oil, or flavoring oil. It is determined by the product information, test reports, oil acidity, absorbance K270 value, whether it contains additives. Then we use the result to apply for the corresponding automatic import license. This way, we can be more precise on document applications to avoid delays to the declaration process.

3.Importing olive oil for the first time, firm must provide the original document of imported edible vegetable oil index and other 15 mandatory test reports, also the original document of 6 designated indicators report of imported edible vegetable oil. If it is the second subsequent import of the same product, firm needs to provide the copy print of 15 test reports and the original print of the 6 test reports. Beyond that, nutritional test reports are needed for each import.

4.Foreign producers need to provide award certifications, if there are award marks on the English label.

5.The production date and shelf life need to be shown on the foreign language label.

6.The customs clearance for olive oil importation requires the shipper to cooperate and provide original copies of lab reports, English label sample.We will collect and prepare all needed documents for both customs and inspection declaration before the goods arrive at port.
